Remember Your Health Is Your Responsibility – PART VII
Track your progress whenever you start a new medication prescribed by your doctor or supplements you choose on your own. Monitoring results, especially side effects is essential.
If you don’t notice improvement within the first 30 days, don’t panic. Lack of early results doesn’t mean the medication or supplement isn’t working. A better practice is to evaluate progress at both 30, 60 and 90 days.
By the 90-day mark, you should expect to see at least some measurable improvement. If you don’t, the medication or supplement may not be providing meaningful benefit.
Your doctor should schedule follow-ups to monitor effectiveness and watch for adverse effects for prescription medications. When you’re taking supplements independently, take a more proactive approach: get baseline blood work before you start, then repeat labs around the 90-day mark to assess impact.
