Let The B’s Support Your Cells
A team of researchers tested blueberry extract on human cancer cells. What was discovered is that when radiation therapy alone was applied it showed a 20% reduction in cancer cells. When the blueberry extract alone was applied there was a 25% reduction in cancer cells. Five percent may not sound like a big difference, but considering that radiation often also reduces the good cells along with the cancer cells which is why people tend to suffer days after their radiation treatment. The study did show that the cancer cells fell by nearly 70% when both blueberry extract and radiation were used together. It seems the blueberry extract tricks the cancer cells into dying. Therefore it inhibits the birth of new cancer cells at the same time it aids in the death of the existing cancer cells. This may not work on all forms of cancer, but it is a habit you can develop as part of your daily food intake process. It certainly won’t hurt you or make your cancer get stronger.
The antioxidants found in blueberries has a super power that not all foods contain. Research has uncovered powerful information about these little berries regarding treating cancer. No eating blueberries will not stop a person from getting cancer and they may not take cancer from your body, but eating them or drinking them (through smoothies) certainly will not hurt you and may very well be a super aid in fighting off cancer cells without destroying your good cells.
Pair these little berries with another powerful vegetable (broccoli) which also has been discovered as a cancer cell reduction food and you may just help your body fight off cancer before it overtakes your cellular structure.
Blending broccoli and blueberries doesn’t create a new molecular structure, it simply breaks down the cell walls and creates a more accessible form of the nutrients.
